Fr. Jerome or Fr. Jigs to us his parishioners, was our parish priest, fulfilling the last 2 1/2 years of Fr. Joel (our first parish priest, who died of a heart attack, before his term with us was completed). Fr Jigs, is a mild mannered priest, I hardly saw him raise his voice and he has that aura of a priest. Fr Luciano, is well known because of his Almusalita, a social media page, where he would read a passage from the Gospel of the day and deliver a short "homily" or reflection based on what he read. It became "viral" and many knew him from that, plus he was Argentinian, so when Pope Francis (+) became pope, he was also interviewed because I think he knew the Pope from before.
Anyways, a few years back, they traveled the Camino De Santiago, I believe it was a grueling pilgrimage, one perhaps I can also walk when we have the budget and time... a far off dream for now, but maybe I will be blessed enough to walk it before I make my final walk.
So, I have started to read this book, thankfully gifted to me by a very good friend and fellow parishioner. We both served under Fr. Jigs when he was our parish priest. She soon got out of the country and became an OFW in Micronesia, but she's here for now. Why, is a story to tell some other time. For now, let's move forward with Camino Lessons.
As per the book, its not a regular book about the pilgrimage, its part prayer, part reflection, part lessons (well the title should have given it away, ei?). As suggested, I'd read it at my own phase and I want to share with you lessons learned (if any, HA HA HA) from reading this book.
See you on the other side!
