Mother's Day 2026

Happy Mother's Day to all moms, dads who are moms, fur moms and everything in between.  I had been a mom for almost 25 years now, 21 years to 2 kids and honestly it's been a host of ups and downs, more than a roller coaster ride. But yes, I'm still here, still holding on and still hoping for the best this coming years. 

I remember when I first became a mom, it really didn't feel awesome like some would tell you. Hahaha... Don't get me wrong, I love my children, flaws and all and I'll never ever change them, they both have grown up to be strong, independent individuals and I'm proud of that. I'm not a perfect mom, nor are they perfect children but I have learned to embrace them as they are and love them fully. And that's how that will always be, no matter what. 

I remember my mom as well. She's not a perfect mom too. I can even say that she wasn't a good mom but I love her all the same. I have made a conscious effort to be not like her as a mom in many ways. I have always been angry at my dad for not being a good dad, but I realize now that he did his best with the circumstance we were in and my mom too! Perhaps one day I'll share with you, all that being in that family was like, but for now, let us all be happy for this day and linger in the moment that moms are appreciated for all that they do, good and the not so good, we all know that they do what they can with what they know, believe in and work what is given them.
