Facing Death

No, this is not a morbid post. LOL

But it is about death, about accepting death and about facing it head on with our emotion and mental health intact.

Life is short we gotta live it as the saying goes, or maybe that was a song. Ha! I don't know but it goes something like that.

These days I am faced with death... I'm compiling the names of batchmates from college who have already departed in time for our reunion. For the list, it comes to 22 or 23 dead already, that is what we know, there maybe those we don't know yet. Our batch is quite large, consisting of I think more than 500 persons. So that's a lot of people, so we don't know if more have departed but so far the report goes to 22 or 23 with someone who just recently passed.

Now, my uncle, my dad's only brother is also facing death. He's already on his deathbed and my cousins, his children, have already said their good byes. Now, we are waiting for his imminent departure. It's expected to be soon, maybe tonight or tomorrow, 2 days at most.

It's not easy facing death. Before or after. After -> my classmates who have already gone and before -> my uncle who's facing it now. It's sad to see him with all those tubes and catching his breath.

We are not close but I pray that he find his reprieve soon....
